Why Choose Coaching |
Who We Support |
You're a great leader, professionally and personally. You know more is possible. You want better, more satisfying and sustainable results; a promotion, less stress, a team or community that works more effectively together; a happier, more meaningful life, and maybe even a bit more time for fun and the people you love. All good reasons! We can help.
Clarify Values
What matters to you? What values inform your decisions? What do you want to achieve - or rather who do you want to become - personally, professionally? Are you living in a way that is true to your values, nature, intellect, personal growth and overall well-being? Develop Mindfulness-Based Goals Are your goals aligned with who you want to become? Are they mindfulness-based goals with concrete actions to achieve them? Are they well-defined: specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and timely? Do they included developing your presence, awareness, emotional intelligence, communication, and intuitive skills? What practical skills do you need to learn? Do your leadership and personal development goals close the gap between what you are experiencing now and the results you are aiming for? Build on Your Strengths What's working? What skills and talents are well developed? What's your EQ (emotional intelligence)? Are you logical, intuitive, process or relationally oriented? How balanced are your thinking and feeling functions? Are you an introvert or extrovert? Where are the gaps? Do Something Different Where are you stuck? What 3 behaviors if changed would make a positive difference in your results? Are you willing to change? Willing to bear the natural awkwardness of developing new skills or behaviors to achieve better results? Understand Business and People What's your business? How does it work? How does it grow? What's missing that if developed would make a meaningful difference? What supporting structures or processes are already in place to help you succeed? What's needed to help you continuously expand your ability to support both yourself and others as their skills and confidence grow? Build Your Team In what ways are you streamlining your path to success - becoming your best self, and helping others' meet their personal and professional goals? How are you helping yourself and others learn new skills, identify and resolve challenges, and achieve more success than they may have imagined? And who are you grooming to take your job (when you are promoted!)? Engage People How often do you ask what, how, who, and by when? (And only then 'why'.) How engaging are your staff meetings? (Your job as a leader is to make space for the greatness of others to emerge; not to have all the answers.) How engaging are your conversations with family, friends, community? Do you really listen? (Would people agree with you about that if I asked them?) Do you know what's important to others, what they want to achieve, and what they feel they need to get there? Have you helped them clarify 'next steps' ? How steady is your follow-up with people? Are you celebrating successes? And together adjusting as needed? Communicate Ever notice how what you do (and don't do) speaks volumes? And that when and how you communicate says just as much? Would your team, colleagues, friends and family say you are curious, ask open questions, speak honestly and respectfully, make room for others, listen at least as much as you speak? Share info that makes a difference for others? Communicate up, down and across your areas of responsibilities? Relate in ways that match the person and the situation? |
I coach senior and mid level leaders in business, non-profit and civic organizations. I work with leaders who want to grow, believe they can change, and who are willing and able to do the personal insight and professional skill development that fosters sustainable change.
What to Clarify
How We BeginWe first meet with you, and then up to 3 stakeholders you choose, to jointly review:
Coaching ProcessOur work together will impact your personal and professional life. We aim for balance and insight, helping you address the stuck points, develop and apply insight and take new actions that will foster the results you intend. Individual Coaching is offered on an open-ended contract that includes both resolving trauma or 'stuck' places at their cause, then accessing and applying insights with new behaviors that deepen or maintain the work we have completed.
Mindfulness-based Leadership Coaching in groups of 3 is also available through the Asian Leadership Institute - Consultancy. This 5 - 6 month program includes goal setting, stakeholder conversations, reflective study and nine facilitated online group sessions to improve awareness, communication, and peer coaching skills. We can discuss this program with you, and then connect you with the ALI-C to further explore how mindfulness-based coaching can improve your business results. |
