Kathy Eckles, M.A.

"Substantive, positive change is only possible when emotional maturity and integrity are present ~ when we relate and create with the willingness and ability to recognize, accept, develop and apply the unique resources in each of us for something greater than ourselves."

- Ed Morler, MBA, Ph.D.

I'm Kathy Eckles, a coach, consultant, and group facilitator.
I assist private individuals and organizational leaders in strengthening their ability to create their future through integrity-based communication.

Since 1999 I have helped private individuals, psychologists, coaches, pastoral counselors and non-profit leaders
1) develop their awareness, energy and communication skills
2) strenghten their leadership and organizational skills, and/or 3) resolve physical, emotional and relational challenges

I've repeatedly witnessed the power of presence, effective organizational skills, and open-hearted, open-minded conversations in helping people resolve conflicts, restore health, build wealth, and create meaningful lives.

Improving relationships, communication and organizational dynamics is an important focus of my work. An experienced trainer, I've taught hundreds of people in multiple settings to resolve resistances and interact more effectively. This includes courses integrating emotional intelligence and energy psychology for therapeutic, medical and coaching professionals in the U.S., UK, Ireland, and Sweden; and communication, Enneagram and organizational skills courses for non-profit and ministry leaders in the U.S. I currently teach Business Ethics at Lasell College in Newton, MA.     Teaching Philosophy

A qualified trainer of the
Enneagram, this ancient system is one of my preferred resources for helping people increase self awareness, appreciate and utilize difference, improve communication, deepen spiritual connection, foster happier, more productive relationships, and strengthen team skills. The Enneagram describes nine core personality types, their core motivations and ways of relating in the world, and pathways for emotional and spiritual growth.

My profession of origin is retail management. As a top quartile executive in retail merchandising for 24 years, I was responsible for the end-to-end operations of multiple women's sportswear divisions; most recently as Divisional Vice President with responsibility for a professional buying staff merchandising 43 stores in New England and a budget of $120 million. It's here in operating a top-performing retail business that I became most interested in what helps people to excel and to learn from one another. Intuition and curiosity prompted me back to graduate school in psychology, to internships in pastoral counseling, executive coaching, and group facilitation, and ultimately to trade my six figure job for the chance to learn something that even then seemed essential.

My first book, Yes! to the Journey of a Lifetime, was a Best Book of the Year Award finalist and includes 25 inspirational stories on spirituality, relationships, communication, teamwork and leadership. All are based on actual experiences with native shamans in Machu Piccu and Lake Titicaca. I've also co-authored two training guides with my respected colleagues: 1) a field-guide for the multiple award-winning book, The Leadership Integrity Challenge: How to Assess and Facilitate Emotional Maturity by Edward Morler, MBA, Ph.D., and 2) an advanced training manual in energy psychology and group facilitation with clinical psychologist, Andrew Hahn, Psy.D.

I am a trained mediator through Mediation Works, Inc.; a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Clothing and Textiles; and I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Depth Psychology, magna cum laude, from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA.

Special thanks to my additional core teachers in
