5 Steps for Healing*
What Is Healing? Being with what is with Love, without resistance.
How Does Healing Occur? When we open to the natural flow of Love within, through and around us, we have access to an infiinite, transformative energy. How we use this powerful energy is a personal choice.
What are the 5 Steps for Healing? Simply said, 1. Focus on what you intend to resolve or create.
2. Feel it in your body, including all associated emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations.
3. Discover the Cause of the Difficulty. The cause of our difficulties are generally fear based, and may or may not seem rational. Focusing in your body, and on your associated physical sensations, ask your inner wisdom, "What is the original cause of this difficulty?" It is always some limiting thought or emotion within us, not in someone else.
4. Open to the Infinite Love flowing through and around you, through the cause of your difficulty, and through your intention. Feel your sensations become more comfortable.
5. Receive and Act Upon New Wisdom. When our resistance is dissolved, we can simply be with 'what is', and in being present, we are naturally in the flow of Love's energy and wisdom. It is here that new ideas, new ways of being become apparent for us to act upon for more positive results.
How Do We Know Healing Has Occurred? Either our symptom changes, or our relationship to the symptom changes. Either way, we now have expanded resources from which to act with greater awareness, compassion, and creativity.

Q’ero, Mountain Leader, Healer, Teacher, please teach us the Way of Healing.
He smiles as one of those inward, good-natured laughs unfolds onto his lips, and says,
Healing is natural. It’s the very act of transmitting everything to others so they have the full knowledge they need to live. If this is what you’ve been given to share with the world, it means you are given the responsibility to do good things with and for people. And it means you accept the gift now, not later.
As healer, you are charged with discovering the origin of the difficulty, which may be ideas or feelings, or any combination of both. The origin may be stories we tell ourselves, or things that have happened where we hold onto the story, the experience, rather than the lesson of the experience. The symptom might be expressed as a feeling, or as a physical difficulty, or both. Physical, tangible, difficulties seem to most easily get our attention. In spiritual traditions, we receive healing through Nature, or through some form of ancient teacher, priest, healer or shaman.
I’m thinking, Seems to me we all have this healing gift, this capacity to share deep knowledge and do good things with one another. It’s not just for “holy” types. In our own ways, we can each engage in:
- Awareness of difficulty (ideas, feelings or both)
- Discovery of what is causing the difficulty
- Giving and receiving what is needed to make a difference
Whether rich or poor, artist or chief . . . doctor, lawyer or leader of peace . . . we are all masters of our own craft who can create with focus and vision, knowing we can be with any difficulty that arises, with receptivity to discover its cause, and Love that is and shares al the resources needed for resolution.
We have stylistic differences, use different tools, focus on different areas. And in the end, we are all capable of being present, good hearted, engaged, skillful, receptive, available to more than we now know, and able to share our gifts for the highest good of all. Our differences are simply a matter of choice, and topic. Are you a healer? Am I? Of course we are.
What’s our answer to the gift we’ve been given? Will we say Yes, now?
