"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back,
always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation),
there is one elementary truth . . . : that the moment one
definitely commits oneself, the providence moves too.

A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor
all manner of unforseen incidents, meetings and material assistance,
which no man could have dreamt would have come his way."

- William Hutchinson Murray, Scottish mountaineer and writer

How Does Coaching Work?

You and your coach will co-design a plan for reaching your desired outcomes. You will meet on the phone or via Skype, or if proximity permits you may meet in person, on a schedule that you decide. Between coaching sessions you may have homework; exercises, reading, or practices to deepen your insight or skills.

Your coach's focus is on you, not on blind adherence to process. The coaching process is therefore adjusted to best meet your needs. You and your coach become a team, joining together to:

  • Create a safe space of candor and confidentiality
  • Determine parameters of the coaching relationship

  • Clarify your intention and outcome of the process
  • Identify the current context of intention

  • Claim the broader contribution you intend to make
  • Find how you are contributing to your current challenge

  • Determine what would make a positive difference
  • Facilitate commitment to proactive behavior

  • Assist you in owning your needs, actions, commitments
  • Acknowledge and celebrate you
