Lost
"Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you Are not lost.
Wherever you are is called Here, And you must treat it as a powerful stranger, Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. It answers, I have made this place around you. If you leave it you may come back again, saying, Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven. No two branches are the same to Wren. If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you, You surely are lost.
Stand still. The forest knows Where you are. You must let it find you."

On Home
"We are all longing to go home to some place we have never been - a place half-remembered and half-envisioned we can can only catch glimpses of from time to time.
Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats.
Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us; eyes will light up as we enter; voices will celebrate wtih us whenever we come into our own power.
Community means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done. Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing. A circle of friends. Somewhere we can be free."
- Starhawk Peace activitst, columnist- Newsweek / Washington Post
